From global classrooms to communities in crisis: CISP's commitment to education

CISP is pleased to announce an important new resource for schools and educators.

The new textbook Global Geography of Social Challenges is now available online and free to download.

Created as part of the European project GET – It’s Global Education Time, the volume offers a fresh perspective on geography. It responds directly to the needs of today's global teachers and students, taking readers on a journey through maps, stories, and global challenges—from inequalities and climate change to migration.

Months after the escalation of the conflict in March 2026 which forced thousands of people to flee their homes across Lebanon especially in South Lebanon and the Bekaa, the impact of the crisis continues to shape the lives of many families.

While the partial end of hostilities has enabled many Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to return to their villages and homes, for many others, returning is not possible. Houses have been severely damaged or completely destroyed, livelihoods have been lost, and many families remain in temporary shelters, relying on humanitarian assistance to meet their most basic needs. 

Along with distributing food and non-food items, the project's objectives also include rehabilitating school classrooms previously used as shelters for displaced people.
